The CLD
Strategic plans and areas of development
The production of an economic diversification and development plan for Brome-Missisquoi is a commitment of the Brome-Missisquoi Centre local de développemnent (CLD) and its partners toward the industrial sector and in the interest of the area’s economic prosperity.
This action plan, based on insights gleaned from Brome-Missisquoi’s industrial diversification survey, is an ideal opportunity to mobilize key political and socioeconomic players around shared development goals and, therefore, to maximize the result of each one’s actions in order to benefit the area’s entire population.
To learn specifically about the town of Bromont’s industrial development plan, go to the SODEB and Technoparc Bromont web site.
The following issues were addressed throughout this process:
- Creating a synergy among development-oriented organizations for the benefit of the MRC’s service sector and industrial economic engines;
- Diversification of the MRC’s economic fabric;
- Improving the economic positioning of existing industrial sector companies;
- Skills development for the local workforce;
- Involving businesspeople in their region’s development;
- Increasing regional economy by focusing on development hubs;
This plan is part of the Vision 2008-2014 framework.
