Tourism event support fund
In order to encourage and contribute to the area’s tourism development, the Brome-Missisquoi CLD offers large-scale tourist projects the possibility of obtaining financial aid for the external (outside of the territory) promotion of events occurring in Brome-Missisquoi.
To be eligible
- Financial aid is intended to support the following types of organizations in their effort to bring their projects to market:
- Any registered or incorporated, for-profit or not-for-profit, organization, individual committee or group aiming to put together an activity, an event or a pilot project of strategic importance for the Brome-Missisquoi MRC as a whole and that is expected to produce significant benefits for the tourist industry.
Type of Eligible Project
An event: all regional tourism projects that will have a significant effect on the number of tourists visiting the area and the visibility of Brome-Missisquoi.To qualify, a project must:
- Dovetail with the Plan de développement touristique de la Région viticole de Brome-Missisquoi or with the Plein air-4 saisons de la région de Brome-Missisquoi
- Match the Brome-Missisquoi CLD’s development priorities
- Present the project or event’s promotional plan
Evaluation Criteria
- The project’s conformity with the Brome-Missisquoi Wine Region Action Plan or the Brome-Missisquoi 4-Season Outdoor Recreational Activities Action Plan
- The project must be of regional interest: with several alliances and with direct positive effects on several municipalities
- The promoter’s expertise and the strength/quality of the team
- The project’s capacity to attract clientele from outside Brome-Missisquoi
- The project’s innovative quality and ability to help distinguish the region
- The project’s capability of standing out and answering Brome-Missisquoi’s needs and the market’s tendencies
