WINE ROUTE INFO

New and interesting promotional tools!

Last spring a wind of renewal swept through the Brome-Missisquoi Wine Route. Indeed, several new promotional tools were introduced for this season. Placemat map, Tourist Guide, Reference document and Poster to inform visitors about what the region has to offer. Visually attractive, these documents are an invitation to share vine and wine pleasures. Furthermore, all versions of the new graphic signature of Brome-Missisquoi (CLD and MRC) re-enforces that the region is a wine niche.

What’s up?
What better way for visitors, tourist enterprises and citizens to stay informed about what’s going on in the vineyards than by a «vine and wine calendar»? It contains a description of the different stages of winemaking and all the activities that take place, each season, in the vineyards of the region. This calendar is part of the Placemat Map that is distributed through the Tourist Information Offices of the region as well in all enterprises members of the «Amis de la Route des vins». The calendar can also be consulted online at www.laroutedesvins.ca

Celebrate the Rosé
Did you know that Brome-Missisquoi has the greatest concentratioin of rosé wine producers in Quebec? Indeed, 13 of 16 vineyards present a good quality rosé wine that will astonish many by its aroma, its color and its taste.

Several marketing strategies have been implemented to broadcast this fact :
Media tours
Last April 25th, over a dozen journalists from Montreal and the region visited the Wine Route and tasted these wonderful rosé wines. This public relations event resulted in the publication of several newspaper and magazine articles and radio and television appearances.
Tastings at the Marché des Saveurs
On May 23 and 24, the Marché Jean-Talon in Montreal welcomed ten wine-makers who introduced Montrealers to their rosé wines. Hundreds of customers tasted these new vintages and brought one or several bottles back home with them.
A Rosé Brunch in the vineyards
Rosé wines are not only served as an aperitif. To prove it four vineyards proposed their rosé wines to accompany a brunch served on May 31st. Indeed, l’Orpailleur, Les Côtes d’Ardoise, Les Brome served a brunch with rosé to celebrate their new spring vintage.

In a vineyard near you
For a 3rd year, all The Wine Route vineyards will mark the beginning of the season by offering visitors free wine and cheese. Citizens of Brome-Missisquoi, take advantage of this with family and friends to discover the charming vineyards and the passionate wine-makers that are just a few kilometers away.
Saturday and Sunday, July 4 & 5 from, 10 am to 5 pm.
