Cultural Fund
Date limit February 23, 2009
This year again, the MRC and CLD of the Brome-Missisquoi region will grant subsidies to a certain number of cultural projects by way of its Cultural Fund. The projects must reach the Brome-Missisquoi CLD de office, 749 Principale Street, Cowansville, J2K 1J8 before Monday, February 23, 2009 at 4:00 PM. with the mention "Cultural Fund" on the envelope.
The amounts granted vary from $500 to $2,000 per project and must not represent more than 50 % of total project cost. The amount to be granted in 2009 will be of $20,000..

Reminder : Inscription - Brome-Missisquoi Tourist Map
Produced by the CLD for nearly 15 years now, the " Brome-Missisquoi Tourist Map" is considered as the best promotional document in the region, will be re-edited in 2009.
This brochure features all the essential information permitting tourists to easily drive through the region and visit near 250 businesses that offer attractions, specialized boutiques, events, lodging and restaurants in the MRC territory. The map is distributed in 150,000 copies and has a 2-year lifespan (2009-2010 Edition).
The CLD is presently recruiting participants for the edition to be published at the end of May 2009 and the inscription period will be ending shortly. It costs only $155 (for 2 years) to participate in the brochure and automatically have an inscription on the revamped site

Cultural trip and painting workshop in Italy
A well-known artist of the region, Tiziana Tabbia Plomteux, is organizing a cultural trip and painting workshop in Italy, from August 25 to September 5, 2009.
The group will not
count more than 15 people, and the trip could be credited by the Sherbrooke University as per certain conditions. The registration period ends on February 27.
