Plenty of Activities and Fresh Air At SUTTON, My Mountain Resort!

Many activities, at the mountain as well as in the village, will be part of the Panoramaduodlacôte 2008 program, every weekend from September 20 to October 20. Celebrate autumn during the Autumn Festival in Sutton “ Panoramaduodlacôte”. Ride the ski lift or walk the trails and reach the summit of the mountain to admire one of the most breathtaking views in all Eastern Townships. Many activities as well as outdoor games are also offered; from workshops on healing plants, to painting, to landscape photography, mycology, corporate sport challenges and many more. For your ultimate well-being, open-air sessions of taï-chi and yoga on the mountain are scheduled. There will also be animation and concerts, as well as BBQ dishes. Packages including accommodation are available.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR T-DAY

 

The Sutton Townshippers’ Day Organizing Committee is looking for volunteers to help make Townshippers’ Day 2008 a success.

“We are actively seeking volunteers from the Sutton area to help newcomers Discover Sutton and Experience the Townships,” said Ken Hill, chair of the committee and Mayor of Sutton.

Townshippers’ Day will be held Saturday September 20 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Volunteers are needed for the following tasks:
· Assist at Information kiosks;
·Assist exhibitors early in the morning;
· Assist with Children’s and Seniors’ activities;
· Assist with parking;
·Be hosts and hostesses to welcome the public and give out programs;
·Be hosts and hostesses on the shuttle buses;
·Be part of the Green Team (recycling and composting project).

People wishing to help out are not required to volunteer for the entire day, so that they may have the opportunity to participate in the many planned activities.

Volunteer Coordinator Melanie Davidson will ask volunteers to meet early in September for an orientation into the day’s activities. Volunteers receive a free breakfast and T-shirt to thank them for their valuable help.
