“Buy locally” and “Invite a friend, a family member…”

As a part of a campaign to promote the region’s products and attractions, the CLD de Brome-Missisquoi wants to share the following slogans and philosophies with the general public: “Buy locally” and “Invite a friend, a family member…”

Based on the principle that the population misunderstands or knows little of the magnificent region in which they live, the CLD is focusing its promotion on the people who live in Brome-Missisquoi and the surrounding area. Primarily because statistics show that a great number of visitors to the region are friends or family members.

To encourage you to shop locally and to develop your pride and sense of regional belonging in Brome-Missisquoi, the CLD invites you to read the following articles. They will help you discover what our beautiful region has been hiding. For more information, you can also consult the “Carte touristique de Brome-Missisquoi – La Région viticole du Québec,” a regional tourism map of Quebec’s wine region. The map was recently sent to you or was included with your local newspaper. You can also learn more by visiting www.brome-missisquoi.ca or by calling 1-888-811-4928.

It’s an invitation to take advantage of the products of one or many of our producers and to visit the numerous attractions or events in the region this summer. Wonders! And SO CLOSE to home!

Public market

Hear ye! Hear ye! Saturday is market day!

Relive the pleasures of yesteryear! It is summertime and the public markets are finally open! What a pleasure to browse among the local products and talk to the producers in person!

Filled with fresh fruits and vegetables, tables filled with healthy produce, the smell of black earth, specials called out, and an unequalled friendly atmosphere.

Stock up on a variety of vegetables, delicious fruits, local wines, fine cheeses, fresh meats, bakery goods, honey and maple products… Wow! That’s buying locally.

Talk with the market gardeners; ask their advice on cooking or preserving, share their know-how and recipes, these are only glimpses of what the region’s public markets have to offer!

No need to go to a farm store, a single stop at one of the region’s public markets will let you stock up on Brome-Missisquoi’s fresh produce.
